Feb. 12, 2018 – WESTMINSTER, Colo. – Butterfly Pavilion, Colorado’s only invertebrate zoo, will debut its newest interactive exhibit, Survival, beginning March 24, 2018. This exhibit will give a fascinating, up-close look at the incredible ways some of the world’s smallest animals overcome the challenges of an invertebrate world. Butterfly Pavilion’s 30,000-square foot facility is located in Westminster at 6252 West 104th Ave.
Nature can be an unforgiving place for bees, butterflies, beetles and other invertebrates dealing with ferocious predators, the challenge of finding food, competition for mates and other trials at every turn. Invertebrates have developed incredible adaptations – hiding, fighting, moving, and feeding – that allow them to use their bodies and environment to beat the odds and survive.
Survival will help guests of all ages learn about these adaptations through interactive displays, technology and live animal encounters. Experiences include a dragonfly launch pad, a simulated beetle battle, tarantula feedings twice weekly, and much more! For tickets and additional information visit Butterflies.org/Survival.
