Do you want to share your passion about the natural world with others? The Butterfly Pavilion is seeking volunteers to assist in providing interactive, hands-on classroom presentations to visiting school groups. Help facilitate the ‘light bulb’ moment and watch as students get excited about insects, life cycles, and science!
Training for the volunteer educator position begins Fall 2010 and will continue through the 2010-2011 school year. Volunteers will come away with an understanding of arthropods and invertebrates, managing visitors in a group setting, as well as dynamic presentation techniques! Join us in making a difference. Applications are due September 5, 2010! Apply today to be a Youth Education Volunteer.
