The Butterfly Pavilion hosts wedding ceremonies and receptions year-round. Have your ceremony inside our tropical rainforest with over 1,600 exotic butterflies or outdoors surrounded by Colorado’s natural beauty. Celebrate with your guests in our spacious 2,200 square foot ballroom, equipped with a hardwood floor for dancing as well as a projector screen for lifetime slideshows. Our residential warming kitchen is great for self-catering, or hire your favorite caterer. Bring in your favorite vendors, our use our Preferred Vendor list. Each wedding contract includes entry into our tropical rainforest for all guests, a rehearsal, and a bridal dressing room. Also included is the use of up to 150 chairs and 20-plus tables.

The Butterfly Pavilion also accommodates engagement pictures, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners and day after brunch... and is a great place to entertain out of town guests!

Ceremony-Only Sites

Wings of the Tropics Conservatory—$500

Accommodates up to 100 guests and includes two hours of actual ceremony time with an hour for set up and an hour for take down, a bridal dressing room, and the use of our folding white chairs and tables. Each additional hour, $250.

Intimate Outdoor Gazebo—$250

Accommodates up to 20 guests and includes two hours of actual ceremony time with an hour for set up and an hour for take down, a bridal dressing room, and the use of our folding white chairs and tables. Each additional hour, $250.

Ceremony and/or Reception Sites

Large Outdoor Gazebo and Lawn—$250

Accommodates 200 guests and includes two hours of actual ceremony time with an hour for set up and an hour for take down, a bridal dressing room, and the use of our folding white chairs and tables. Each additional hour, $250.

Outdoor Amphitheater—$500

Accommodates a maximum of 200 guests. The price also includes two hours of actual ceremony time with an hour for set up and an hour for take down, a bridal dressing room, and the use of our folding white chairs and tables. Each additional hour, $250.

Outdoor Patio—$500

Accommodates a maximum of 200 guests. The price also includes two hours of actual ceremony time with an hour for set up and an hour for take down, a bridal dressing room, and the use of our folding white chairs and tables. Each additional hour, $250.

Large Indoor Reception Site

Butterfly Pavilion Ballroom—$1,200

Accommodates up to 200 guests and includes four hours plus an hour for set up and an hour for take down. Your rental also includes a bridal dressing room, use of our residential warming kitchen, and use of our white folding chairs and tables. Each additional hour, $250.

Full-Facility Event

Full Facility Wedding Ceremony and Reception—$3,500

Accommodates up to 1200 guests and includes six hours of wedding time plus an hour for set up and an hour for take down, use of our white folding tables and chairs, and access to our warming kitchen. Each additional hour, $350.

Amenities

Dressing Room

The Butterfly Pavilion offers one dressing room for the bride (and groom, upon request) available after 4:30 pm. The dressing room is a private classroom space with full length mirrors, tables and chairs.

Wedding Rehearsal Time

Wedding rehearsals are a maximum of one hour and are held during business hours between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. There is no charge for rehearsals and this time is offered as a courtesy for our clients. Rehearsals are scheduled based upon availability.

Residential Warming Kitchen

Available for caterers/vendors or self-catering. Includes a dual-oven stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, ice machine, and a large working/preparation space.

Tables and Chairs

• 100 black metal framed chairs and 100 white folding plastic wedding chairs
• (18) 6-ft rectangular tables (4-8 guests)
• (2) 8-ft rectangular tables for food/beverage
• (10) 6-ft round tables (8-10 guests)
• (1) 3.5 ft round table

Patio

• Patio with gardens, gazebos, waterfall (limited lighting for evening events)
• Tent available through Butler Rents (20'x40', 20 feet from the building)

Conservatory after business hours

Guests are allowed to explore the conservatory at no extra charge. Available after 5:00 p.m. Great for photo opportunities with the bride, groom, and guests!

Additional Exhibits

Additional exhibits can be made available to your guests for private viewing after 5 pm.

Crawl-A-See-Em—$200 for 2 hours

Get eye-to-eye with leaf insects, scorpions, beetles, and millipedes; even hold our popular tarantula, Rosie! Includes one-on-one zookeeper time.

Water's Edge—$200 for 2 hours

You've heard of a petting zoo—try our touch tank! Touch live sea stars, sea cucumbers and other aquatic invertebrates. Includes one-on-one zookeeper time.

Butterfly Release

For an additional cost, you can include a butterfly release as part of your ceremony or rehearsal dinner in the rainforest conservatory. Butterflies are presented in a decorative container and released by the bride and groom. The Butterfly Pavilion does not provide a zookeeper for the release. Please be advised that the butterflies should not be touched and their behavior is unpredictable. This special moment provides for amazing photography and will surely impress your guests.

All events must be scheduled with our Events Department. A signed rental contract, 50% of the rental fee, and the full damage deposit must be submitted for a date to be reserved.
