Mimic insect sounds in the Crawl-A-See-Em

The Sounds of Insects booth will allow you to simulate real insect sounds by using everyday objects as ‘buggy instruments.’ Take away “how to” sheets with information on how to make your own bug instruments at home.

Move like an invertebrate in Water's Edge

“The Move like an Invertebrate” area is a self-guided movement activity with posters of invertebrate animals and demonstrations of how to try moving like one. Dance and move like an invertebrate and then touch sea stars and horseshoe crabs at the touch tanks.
 

Butterfly Behavior Bingo in the Wings of the Tropics

Grab your clipboard & game pieces and look for different movements and behaviors of butterflies in the conservatory. Keep your eyes open and see if you can get a “bingo.” When finished, make sure to leave your bingo sheet in the bin outside the conservatory exit.

Radio Disney “Buggy Boogie” Road Show 

The Disney road show will include dancing, music, interactive games, and Disney prizes, and will feature songs and music from “A Bug’s Life” and other Disney classics. Games will include the centipede limbo, pass the potato bug, beetle shuffle, and more. Located in ballroom C/D.

Jellyfish Dance!

1. Squat down low and extend your arms to make the bell of the jellyfish.


2. Start to stand up and at the same time lower your arms.

3. Stand all the way up on your toes and keep your arms flat against your sides.

The Butterfly Pavilion combines science education with interactive fun to teach visitors about invertebrates and conservation. Our five immersive exhibits, including our rainforest filled with 1,600 free-flying tropical butterflies, provide a year-round, unforgettable experience. Visitors can get up close and personal with live animals, enjoy daily educational programs, explore the wonder of the outdoors on the nature trail, and discover the newest traveling exhibit.
