Planning Your Day

Insectival is a great opportunity to visit the Butterfly Pavilion and spend the whole day! You can start your day at bug hunt at 10:30 a.m., enjoy lunch under the trees at noon, and then visit the butterfly release in the afternoon! Here are some tips...
 

  • Get to know the schedule and choose your itinerary ahead of time
  • Bring snacks or even lunch so you can stay the day!
  • Wear sunscreen and bring water to drink...
  • Make sure you have your walking shoes on!
  • Be ready to play games and plan to get dirty in the gardens
  • Plan your budget and decide how many tickets you're willing to purchase ahead of time
  • Have fun!!

The Butterfly Pavilion combines science education with interactive fun to teach visitors about invertebrates and conservation. Our five immersive exhibits, including our rainforest filled with 1,600 free-flying tropical butterflies, provide a year-round, unforgettable experience. Visitors can get up close and personal with live animals, enjoy daily educational programs, explore the wonder of the outdoors on the nature trail, and discover the newest traveling exhibit. Butterflies are just the beginning.
