Our outreach programs generate excitement and encourage an appreciation for the diversity of invertebrate life, habitats, and conservation in the most innovative and educationally-fulfilling ways!
Animal Ambassadors
Live animals that might come visit you include: tarantulas, scorpions, millipedes, centipedes, beetles, cockroaches, caterpillars, stick insects, hermit crabs, black widow spiders, and roly polies.
Youth Groups
Choose from nine different programs to fit the ages, interests, and educational needs of your group.

Birthday Bug Safaris - New Program!
Invite the Butterfly Pavilion to be a guest at your next birthday party!
$175 per party, maximum of 20 youth participants + travel fee (Parties of more than 20 participants will be charged an additional $25 fee per 1-10 extra participants)

Libraries & Other Facilities
We provide educational presentations at libraries and other organizations for a fee. Contact the Butterfly Pavilion Registrar at 720.974.1861 or outreach@butterflies.org for details.
Outreach Booths & Mascots Appearances
Book the Butterfly Pavilion for your next fair! Rosie and her friends come along to meet visitors at your special event. We can also bring our Praying Mantis mascot to meet the children. Rates start at $125 for the first hour, plus $50 for each additional hour. Contact 720.974.1862 for details.

General Policies
Outreach Programs are available from 9am to 5pm Monday through Saturday. For evenings, sundays and holidays, an additional charge of $25 will apply (after all discounts are taken). Programs booked on the same day, but with more than a 45 minute break between, will pay a $15 layover fee. Maximum 30 students per program.
Travel Fee
$0.25 per mile, round trip within the SCFD, $0.47 per mile, roundtrip outside of the SCFDMultiple Program Discounts - NEW!
- Consecutive Classes - Full price for first class, 20% off for all additional consecutive classes, must be between 15 minutes and 45 minutes apart
- Multiple Classes - Full price for first class, 15% off for all additional classes booked on multiple days or more than 45 minutes apart
