We share the world with spineless wonders, creepy crawlies, and beautiful bugs--97% of all animal species on the planet are invertebrates! Nurture your curiosity, face your fears, and learn about some of the smallest and most interesting inhabitants of our planet with this unique outreach experience. And get ready, because we’re bringing the animals to you! Programs for all ages are available.

Itsy Bitsy Bugs - New ECE Program! Book now!
Program available starting May 1st
This class will be 30 fun-filled minutes guaranteed to keep your toddlers fluttering, hopping and singing. We will bring puppets, music, and of course- live bugs to keep your tots buzzing with excitement!

Bugs aren't so little when they're projected onto a giant screen! More students than ever before can get SUPER close to bugs we find as we journey through one of the world's most fascinating biomes -- the rainforest. Then put your teachers to the test to see if they can survive the harsh extremes of life in the tropics. Can they survive to adulthood, or will they be caught off-guard by a flash flood? Entangled in a spider's web? Find out with the Butterfly Pavilion's new exciting program.

Bugmobile
Take a trip around the bug world with the Butterfly Pavilion! Explore animals from the desert to the rainforest and everywhere in between. Learn hands-on (literally!) about the diversity and classifications of these exotic animals. Like these amazing creatures we bring to you, our programs can adapt to meet your group’s needs. *not an actual vehicle

Birthday Bug Safari - New Program!
Invite the Butterfly Pavilion to be a guest at your next birthday party!
The Butterfly Pavilion now comes to you for a memorable birthday party experience, perfect for boys and girls aged 3-12. Enjoy a fun, interactive program and meet some of the Butterfly Pavilion’s most famous residents, including Rosie, the Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula. Customize your program with exciting add-ons like bug eating, games, storytime, and crafts for a truly unique party.
$175 per party, max 20 youth participants + travel fee. Parties over 20 will be charged an additional $25 fee per 1-10 extra participants.
Miss Muffet Storytime
Spooked by a spider? You’re not the first. Let our special storyteller bring the nursery rhyme to life with fun stories, and real spider friends--including our celebrity spider, Rosie!

Flutterby
Watch as your classroom transforms before your very eyes! Your group will act out each stage of a butterfly’s life cycle, discover the difference between butterflies and moths, and meet a real live hungry caterpillar friend.

Metamorphosis Moves
Join the Colorado Ballet and the Butterfly Pavilion collaborate on this workshop. Students learn about the life cycle of the butterfly through movement in this interactive dance and science class. *K-3rd Grade, $200/1hr program (maximum 30 students)
Butterflies and Blooms
Every student will find their niche in our interactive classroom habitat. Students will work together to create a complete ecosystem and discover the delicate balance in the homes of living things. We will end the program with a pollination game that your students will be buzzing about for days!

Bookworms rejoice, and let your imaginations run wild with the Butterfly Pavilion’s Creepy Crawly Story Time!
The Butterfly Pavilion makes buggy stories come alive in a fun, interactive program featuring live animals. Discover fascinating facts, face your fears, and learn about some of our planet’s smallest residents through the magic of storytelling. Program can be customized to meet science content needs of individual classrooms or groups, Pre-K – 1st grade.

Insect Loan Boxes
Enhance your science curriculum with the help of the Butterfly Pavilion!
Complement your classroom science curriculum with books, games, puppets, bug nets, magnifying glasses, and more, all hand-picked by the Butterfly Pavilion fun experts. “Bug out” your students with mounts of real insects, and have them collect live specimens with our bug nets to support their learning inside--and outside--the classroom.

General Policies
Outreach Programs are available from 9am to 5pm Monday through Saturday. For evenings, Sundays and holidays, an additional charge of $25 will apply (after all discounts are taken). Programs booked on the same day, but with more than a 45 min break between will pay a $15 layover fee. Maximum 30 students per program.
Travel Fee
$0.25 per mile, roundtrip within the SCFD, $0.47 per mile, roundtrip outside of the SCFDMultiple Program Discounts - NEW!
- Consecutive Classes - Full price for first class, 20% off for all additional consecutive classes, must be between 15 minutes and 45 minutes apart
- Multiple Classes - Full price for first class, 15% off for all additional classes booked on multiple days or more than 45 min apart
