Butterfly Pavilion camps encourage exploration, learning and play through one of a kind experiences that connect kids to the natural world.
Butterfly Pavilion camps are designed to provide kids with memorable experiences that connect them to nature and encourage an appreciation for science. Led by a dynamic education team, our camps incorporate exploration, inquiry, art, drama and play for programs that appeal to variety of interests and abilities. Camps are offered during the summer from June to August, as well as on some Out of School Days during the school year for youth ages 5 -14. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.

Spineless Spotlights
Butterfly Pavilion provides “Spineless Spotlights” as free public programs that allow visitors of all ages to discover what is truly amazing about the 97% - of animal species that is!
Visitors are able to “ask an expert” during these presentations, walking away with a new found knowledge of the invertebrate world in fifteen minutes or less!
Sunset Strolls
Join us for an intimate, in-depth, and inspirational after-hours stroll through the rainforest!
Enchant your eyes, ears--and nose!--on a guided tour of the sights, sounds, and smells of the Butterfly Pavilion rainforest. Join us at dawn to discover how the conservatory comes alive with flurries of butterflies and a potpourri of tropical scents once the sun goes down.
Visitors are invited to experience an enchanting evening butterfly program in our tropical conservatory. Participants enjoy a guided walk through the conservatory at dusk and have the opportunity to observe butterflies and activities not normally seen during regular operating hours.Birthday Bug Safaris
Let us bring the Butterfly Pavilion to you for your child’s next birthday! Our talented education staff will provide a fun and memorable experience for your birthday party guests.
Our fantastic birthday party package runs for 45 minutes and involves a fun, interactive presentation with live animals, including “Rosie” our famous rose hair tarantula, and is perfect for both boys and girls, ages 3-12.
Fee
- $175 per party, max 20 youth participants + travel fee (Parties over 20 will be charged an additional $25 fee per 1-10 extra participants)
- Members receive a 10% discount

After the Bug Safari, let our presenter engage your guests with a fun, age appropriate 15-20 minute craft to take home! From tie-dye butterflies, to glow-in-the dark spider webs, we have the perfect craft to suit your theme and party-- please ask the Butterfly Pavilion Registrar for more details.
Buggy Story Time - $25
Buggy Story Time - $25
Is your little one fascinated with books or have an expansive imagination? Let imaginations run wild as you experience stories about some of our favorite buggy friends, and become part of the story as our presenter engages your guests!
Animal Adventure Game - $25
Get your group off their feet with a fun, interactive 15-20 minute group game!
Bug Eating! - $25 ($2 extra per participant for parties over 20)
Your group will spend 15-20 minutes having fun learning about why people eat bugs and enjoying culinary bug delights from all over the world!
Goodie Bags – $4/bag
Don't worry about running to the party store and assembling goodie bags. Let us do the work! We have pre-made, bug-themed goodie bags perfect for boys and girls. The educational goodie bag will provide your guests hours of enjoyment after the party ends!
Reservations
Outreach Birthday Parties are available Saturdays and Sundays, year round between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Afterhours and weekday requests are available for an additional $25 fee.
