Explore the wonders of the invertebrate world at the Butterfly Pavilion. Engage in a variety of field explorations, crafts, and games while you learn about insects, spiders and their buggy relatives. Compete against bugs in our Invertebrate Olympics, discover insect myths and legends from around the world, and learn how to navigate through a spider’s web!

If there were no spiders, would insects rule the world? How much weight can a cockroach really carry? Spend time in the Butterfly Pavilion’s animal rearing room, learn how to raise insects and become an expert in field observation. Earn your own “Bug Badge” exploring behind the scenes at the Butterfly Pavilion and dig deep to discover how the odd and crazy world of bugs and their relatives really works! (Note: You do not have to take Spiders, Bugs, and Butterflies I to enroll in this class, but it is highly encouraged.)
