Organizational Operations

Customer Care

Providing a unique, quality, earning environment for all of our visitors is always our goal. The visitor experience is the primary focus of our efforts and we believe customer care is the focal point of the visitor experience. As a key piece of our organizational message we integrate strategy, systems and infrastructure to consider all points of customer contact.

Strategic Planning

By taking a closer look at Pavilion products and services, we believe we are ensuring a greater understanding and melding of the Butterfly Pavilion’s purpose, considerably improving our contribution to the community. Because of this dedication to our visitors, members, donors and volunteers we have lasting relationships throughout Colorado. We actively seek out opportunities to improve our organization and plan for the future.

Employee Support and Growth

We foster a supportive and enriching environment for our employees. We believe in growth from within and that the strength of our employees improves the overall strength of our organization. This philosophy is supported through a new orientation and training program and a revised evaluation process. Employees continue to prosper and grow within the Butterfly Pavilion.

Volunteer Program

The Butterfly Pavilion volunteer program is essential to the success of the organization. This program is very diverse ranging from a one-time event opportunity to a daily assignment. We have around 140 long-term volunteers. These volunteers make the commitment to serving for one year for at least 8 hours per month. In 2010 our volunteers served a total of approximately 7,500 hours. The job duties for our volunteers are as follows:

• Classroom Educator
• Horticulture Assistant
• Administrative Assistant
• Zoo Assistant Program Volunteer
• Public Event Volunteer
• Nature Trail Restoration Volunteer
