Tracey T. Bernett, Chair
Tracey Bernett, President of Bernett & Associates, Inc., is a 27-year veteran of the computer data storage, aerospace/defense, energy, and construction industries. She has held positions in program management, product management, strategic planning, research, competitive analysis, scheduling, finance, and design engineering at Digital Equipment Corporation/Hewlett-Packard, Ford Aerospace, CSI Resource Systems, and Bechtel Corporation. Since forming her consulting business 14 years ago, Ms. Bernett has helped clients successfully bring storage-related products to market and has helped raise millions of dollars in financing. Ms. Bernett has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in engineering from Cornell University.
Kevin Medina, Vice Chair
Kevin Medina is a highly skilled and refined executive with an impressive track record of building and managing profitable organizations from the ground up. Kevin's corporate experience includes tenures at Clear Channel Communications, Mile High Sports Magazine and Radio as well as CEO of his own firm: Medina Communications Marketing and Advertising. Kevin has contributed his expertise to non-profits such as Ballet Nouveau Colorado and the University of Colorado Athletic Scholarship Fund increasing their impact and financial success. Kevin joined the Butterfly Pavilion Board of Directors in March of 2011 and is also the Board Chair for Jeremy Bloom’s Wish of a Lifetime. Past Board experience has been with Metro North Chamber of Commerce as well as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). Kevin holds a BS in Marketing from the University of Colorado School of Business and Administration.
Larry Dubois, Past Chair
Larry Dubois earned his B.S. degree in Biology from the Dakota Wesleyan University and was a math and science teacher in Merrimack Middle School, New Hampshire. He owned and operated a successful grocery business for 20 years on Cape Cod, before relocating to Colorado in 2000. Larry is the Director of Management Development for American Business Advisors, Inc. in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Larry is very active in civic organizations such as the Shriners, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and the Y.M.C.A. He has been a board member of the United Way, and elected to the Bourne Mass. Board of Education, serving eight years, three of those years as the collective bargaining agent. Larry received the Melvin Jones Fellow Award for dedicated humanitarian service, the highest award from the Lions Club. Larry volunteers at the Cherry Creek State Park leading groups on nature walks and interpretive education. In Cape Cod, Larry served as House Chairman for the Pacasset Golf Club. Responsible for new construction, organization redesign, food and beverage operations, and hiring, he turned a $150,000 deficit into $150,000 surplus in one year.
Bob Briggs, Board Secretary
Bob Briggs was elected to Westminster City Council in November 2007. He is president of SB Inc. and executive vice president of Colorado Rail Association. Briggs has served as an Adams County commissioner, a director for the Regional Transportation District and a Colorado state representative. He is a member of the Westminster High School, class of 1955, and Colorado State University, class of 1959 and 1961. Other past memberships include Westminster Jaycees president, 1964-1965; Westminster Chamber of Commerce charter president, 1967; Westminster Rotary Club president, 1978; Boy Scout Troop 324 scoutmaster, 1975-78; Valley District for the Boy Scouts chairman, 1980; Westminster Presbyterian Church, president of the corporation three times; Denver Regional Council of Governments Board of Directors, 1980-82; Westminster Open Space Advisory Board, charter member since 1987.

Dr. Sarada Krishnan
Sarada is Director of Horticulture at Denver Botanic Gardens. Prior to that, she was Director of Horticulture at the Butterfly Pavilion. She has several years of experience in public and commercial horticulture. At Denver Botanic Gardens, she is responsible for directing the design and maintenance of all the gardens, living collections and horticulture programs. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture from India, where the focus was on tropical horticulture. She has a Master of Science degree in Horticulture from Colorado State University, with a research focus on the propagation of native Colorado flora specializing in plant tissue culture. Sarada recently finished her doctorate at University of Colorado, Boulder. Her doctoral research is on conservation genetics of the wild coffee (Coffea spp.) in Madagascar. She is the owner and director of Diversity Company Limited, owning and operating coffee plantations in Jamaica producing Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee. Sarada has served as a board member of the Association of Zoological Horticulture, Colorado Native Plant Society and the Colorado Department of Agriculture’s Noxious Weed Advisory Committee. She currently serves on the City of Westminster’s Open Space Advisory Board and on Colorado Nursery & Greenhouse Association’s Perennial Committee. She is a faculty affiliate with Colorado State University’s Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture and a board of director of Plant Select® and Butterfly Pavilion.
Sarah Farley
Sarah Farley has an extensive background with upper-level sales, service and support with Sun Microsystems and, currently, Oracle Corporation. She is an active volunteer with "Women into Networking" (WIN); a Broomfield based networking group specifically for women. Other volunteer and fundraising efforts include participation in Cancer fundraiser for the Dana Farber institute, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as well as helping organize a fundraising event at Sun Microsystems for victims of 9/11. Ms. Farley holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Regis University.
Anne Macomber
Anne Macomber has spent the majority of her career in advertising, working at a variety of national agencies for clients including The Denver Zoo, The Denver Art Museum, The Museum of Nature and Science (Boston) and the Boston Planetarium. Her commitment to non-profit and volunteer work began when she took a hiatus from agency life in 2002 to serve as the Marketing Director for the Art Students League of Denver. There, she developed her fundraising and community outreach skills, which she put to use as she led a local effort to bring back a beloved music fest in the Highlands Neighborhood.
Over next several years, she led a team that helped grow the Sunnyside Music Fest from a few hundred attendees to a crowd of 12,000, gain 501(c)3 certification and eventually build its own board in 2010. In addition to serving on the Board of the Butterfly Pavilion, Anne currently sits on the boards of Sunnyside United Neighbors Inc., and The Sunnyside Music Festival. An avid gardener and cook, she enjoys entertaining, sampling the Northwest Denver cuisine and exploring the greater Highlands neighborhood with her two young daughters. Anne has a B.A. from Bates College in Maine, with additional fine art studies in Florence and the Minneapolis Art Institute.

Peter Harnisch has been part of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network as a Wealth Management Advisor since 1992. Peter Harnisch is a graduate of Colorado State University.

Lisa Edwards
Lisa Edwards is an attorney at the law firm Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP in Denver, practicing in the firm’s Health Care Group. As a health care attorney, Ms. Edwards represents a wide variety of health care providers in Colorado and throughout the country in corporate transactions, litigation and regulatory matters. Prior to joining Davis Graham & Stubbs, Ms. Edwards practiced as a health care associate at Arent Fox LLP, a law firm in Washington, D.C. She received her law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School and her undergraduate degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado in Boulder. Before attending law school, Ms. Edwards worked in the Health Policy Group of the international public relations firm, Hill & Knowlton, Inc. in Washington, D.C. Ms. Edwards joined the Butterfly Pavilion Board of Directors in November of 2012 and also serves on the Women’s Foundation of Colorado’s Empowerment Council.
