Range: Eastern Africa and Madagascar, Red Sea, Seychelles, Tanzania, West Indian Ocean

Diet: Scavengers but will hunt small fish and invertebrates

Facts: 1. Is not a true starfish but actually is a different group called brittle stars 2. Does not have suction cups like regular starfish but instead brittle stars have small spines 3. Have flexible arms used for movement and the spines give the arms traction 4. Can live between 11 and 20 years
