Diet: Eats mostly bivalves but will also eat snails, sand dollars, barnacles, polychaetes, scavenges meaty pieces

Facts: 1. Will fight the sun star (Pyconpodia helianthoides) for food 2. Can extend the tube feet by it mouth several centimeters to pull bivalves out of the sediment 3. Spawns in Washington during Spring and Summer 4. Usually is pink but can be yellow, brown, purple, and orange colors as well
