Range: Red Sea, Indian Ocean, and the west Pacific from the East China Sea to Australia

Diet: Photosynthetic single-celled organisms, zooxanthellae that provide the bubble coral with nutrients; also eat planktonic organisms and absorbs dissolved organic matter

Facts:
1. The bubble is filled with zooxanthellae (single-celled organism) which performs photosynthesis for the bubble coral; during the day the "bubbles expand with water so that the zooxanthellae can obtain more sunshine 2. In the wild, colonies can grow up to three feet long 3. At night, the bubble coral uses tentacles to locate bits of food
