Diet: Omnivore and Scavenger: surfgrass, algae, colonial tunicates, sponges, and other meaty food found on ocean floor

Facts: 1. Can have four to nine arms 2. Can live up to sixteen years in captivity 3. If an arm is lost, it takes a year to regrow 4. Are territorial and will push other starfish out of the way so that it can get the best spot
