Reader Rail Information: These terrestrial tarantulas have the ability to kick urticating hairs, but have a reduced tendency to do so which makes them a popular species as an exotic pet. These jungle dwellers also live a long time for a spider (up to 20 years) and don’t become mature until they're about 7 years old
